Sometimes, I enjoy myself by doing volunteer "work" helping celebrities at autograph shows. I love animals and at one time I did volunteer work for Tippi Hedren's Shambala Preserve.

The Iris's Have It...

Tried my zoom lens yesterday..  I stood on the deck and zoomed down to the Iris's that are beginning to open...

 

Is that Iris sticking it's tongue out at me??  Pppllssssttttt.. back atcha!

 

(FYI:  two weeks from tomorrow I will be packing up and moving.. so my computer will be down for a bit until I can get dsl service set up down there..  pray for me being without my computer !!  Just saying it gives me a nervous stomach!!!)

Oooh, what beautiful shots! Our irises are nowhere near showing their pretty faces yet, but the lilacs are in full bloom.

We sure will miss you during your off-line time, but I suspect that you might be so busy that it'll fly by for you.

Those are absolutely beautiful, Pat! I love the one where the Iris is sticking her tongue out at you. The detail is amazing.

I know this move is both a curse and a blessing for you. I mean, given the activity in your area, how can it not be a good thing to leave? Yet, leaving has its own pain, especially when you must leave so many furry friends behind. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers, doll, and the joint will definitely not be the same without you!

What a pretty flower! My grandma had some of these growing around her pool when I was a kid. They were just too lovely to pick though.
